AWESOME INITIATIVE FOR CELEBRATING WOMENS DAY. But,

Don't worry we will be having audience results and one jury award which will be decided by the panel @VAMC @Shyam @URum @Hunkkk and rewards for winner and participants will be decided by @Rapunzel.
Because we want all the women to participate and celebrate this women's day. Some one who is Jury can't participate in events as it will not be fair.
Why no female in jury if it's womens day celebration
Except this. “No woman on the jury board”.

Why this is problematic?
Because, it’s excluding women from being authority.

We women celebrate our womanhood daily, along with its blessings and curses. Regardless it’s pros and cons. There’s an urban saying that, “8th of March is the Women’s day but the rest 364 days are Mens!”.
As a women we’ve all experienced negligence, mansplaining, labelled (too “girly”/ too “manly”), misogyny, not to mention lack of authority at least once in our life time if not more. So I wouldn’t be wrong if I put it as “This is for your relaxation (for 1day)”. Even though a female is questioning the decision itself. Not to mention it wasn’t discussed throughly with the “female panel of mods” about what do “THEY” want. It’s like going to a surprise date and the man ordering on your behalf without asking what do you want to eat. (Obviously it was a good intended surprise but part of it screaming out loud is “your opinion didn’t matter cause I chose to surprise you”). Spoon feeding women about what they want is not a good idea ever, specially on womens day! Just saying.

I’m having this ripping off the band-aid moment when I had to say this on the thread.

Ps: I have no doubts about the extent of caliber or expertise the current jury board brings to the table. I have full faith on their chivalry. My text is more about voice being heard regardless it’s for women or men.
Rapunzel is deciding for rewards for everyone & she is enough dominating to rule the ground work done by 4 folks. :Cwl: It is like they want women to participate and enjoy & leave the work for men, maybe.

(Rapz - don't take it seriously honey)

“Maybe”
A “maybe” is women’s best friend. We say maybe a lot. maybe he didn’t mean it that way - maybe I’ve misheard - maybe it’s in my head - maybe it’s for my own good. So may maybes.

But maybe we should take action to change the narrative this time?

Besides, we women didn’t need a day off from being authority to reflect on our womenhood. If needed we can always ask for it since the competition is for both women and men. It’s off putting on so many ways that male mods will judge WOMEN’s Day competition entries where female mods had no idea about its existence. Specially when we had so many talented women on the panel with their own perks at their respective field of work, personality, being multilingual where they won’t need Google Translation’s assistance and years of experiences of being a Woman.

The occasion SHOULD be more for men to understand womenhood, explore and research about women, and reflect that with a creative manner by participating on the competition. Since 4 male mod will be excluded from the competition due to their Jury responsibilities, it’s a 4 great men we are losing to understand us more, to understand our daily struggles, to have their influence on their peers to understand us. I am mourning for that.

As a woman myself and for my peers, I feel robbed. Not to mention the Fame, Attention, Authority and Reaction points it might brought to the women if they were in charge.

Thanks for reading this far if you’ve read.

First thing you didn't read the entire convo in the thread.

Point no 1. Why no women in Jury board

We have already conducted an event before this named ZPL and they're are 2 women @Vasu and @Rapunzel on board for the event. And it has been a huge success and even we got compliments many in zozo. Even to be as captains we have contacted some women but everyone has their own busy schedule and said we can't make it.

If someone is in jury and if she likes to submit her work here people think thats unfair if she win. As she was your Jury u made her won.

Point no 2. YOU DIDN'T READ WHAT EXACTLY IS JURY HERE

The whole competition works in the process of voting. To keep this fair we are not even revealing their names here whether its a male or female. The only work jury here do is to take responsibility to bring some contestants through campaigns.

3. Point number 3 role of women in zozo

90 percent of administration here is done by women. So you can't think some injustice is happening to women. All the authority lies with @Rapunzel @AmoRoUs @Beryl @Pinkcandy @Goddess of Wisdom.

4. Competition are just friendly events. You don't get any money or any other assests here. We only conduct them to bring out hidden talents.

5. If someone asks a question that doesn't mean they don't like it. They just wanted to know the reason and after I posted the reason of why we don't have. She liked the reason as u can see it in the thread.

6.You don't know the ground work to conduct an event like zpl. We keep on messaging to many to take some responsibilities but everyone got their own personal works and can't be online for much time. We take help of those who are willing to help that may be a female or male.

That was not the idea quinny, let's add u to the board.. The idea of all men was to find out how much nen as individuals would agree on da same point.

Yes uncle ji we are very happy to give the responsibility of event organising to anyone who are interested. The only condition is who is conducting can't participate in it as it will be unfair in a competition.

Haley Dear,

It is just a game. If someone from women did come up with some initiative, the panel or men would have supported but I think in the limited time, the one who came up to do something is hunkk and vamC. They did ask me and couple of others to be on the panel, but I had an exhausting week and I was quite occupied with ZPL. While I still wanted to help, hunkk and vamC told they can handle and asked folks to just participate. What we see is very less, behind the scenes,
It IS a game. And yet we are here. It has nothing to do with your personal life or busy schedule my dear, if you are busy - you are busy! No denying there. You knowing about a event isn’t mutually inclusive to everyone on the female panel having knowledge about it. I can see from the thread many great females mods are questioning about the process to the authorities involved where you concluding your version of “Thinking” with a vague “Maybe”. So It wouldn’t be inaccurate to sum up that you yourself wasn’t quite aware of the process yet chose to answer on Their behalf. Which could’ve been misleading.

they will lose the interest in doing. Let us support in little way we can.

To explain some of the Behind the Math - They have discussed with multiple folks (men & women), to seek the interest or feedback, how things can be made better. Had folks been too interested to be of help, they wouldn't have said a NO. Going to every room, promoting the events, asking folks for feedback, explaining what is what, which events are comfortable for whom, driving traction, is not easy - with their own jobs to handle + other roles or responsibilities they had to wear.
Again, excluding a community by choosing few unregulated representatives isn’t how we should address any issue let alone “womens day celebration”. By doing so the whole community might feel “uninterested” in the further future events.

Not quite sure what you meant by “it is not easy”. A challenging task is equally challenging for everyone regardless their gender bias. Mods (Both male and female) here has enough calibre to pull it off. Besides, none of us is paid worker for the site. Therefore, we do know what’s at stake - regardless mod responsibilities and personal endeavours both on site and in real life. But I’m grateful for your attempt to enlightening me with your version of explanation of “Behind the Math”.

I am just saying - what you see is not everything. Some women did give suggestions or wanted to host a few things but technically they were not feasible. No one robbed any of anyone's [Fame, Attention, Authority and Reaction points]; I won't talk about everyone but as a women here, I didn't initiate it, but everyone had a chance, no one stopped me from doing it. Everyone is supportive of everyone here. [All these 'Fame, Attention, Authority and Reaction points' can be gained and need not be tied up to 'One Day' or event].
Yes you were saying to @Beryl “maybe” that’s a word of assumption and speculation, not a concrete fact. Where the question was for @VAMC as an organiser.

Obviously no one robbed anyone, why would they be? That’s a very presumptuous thing to say. Feeling something and doing so are two completely different verbs.

Need not be tied up to ‘One Day’ or event?
Why not? A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step dear @Vasu Dhara. Let’s start with how to tag names on forum heheh shall we?

♦️LOVE YOU❤
