Hello and good evening bro. I did mention in my post that ego and pride aka self respect are two different things , maybe the sides of a same coin. Yet Ego should always take a back step when it comes to love but at the same time self respect needs to be upheld. One can be truly madly deeply in love with a person but if that partner is not giving you the same back or for that matter taking you for granted, I think that amounts to a toxic and a one way relationship.

Love should be selfless, but not at the cost of self-respect......if its one-sided or takn for granted, its not love, it’s emotional exhaustion....
