What is more important in a relationship, your ego or the love you feel for that person?

I will try my best to save my relationship so that my relationship remains healthy and happy. Where there is love, ego automatically vanishes, if you love someone truly, with all your heart, then your ego will automatically kneel in front of your partner and love will blossom.
Is your question correct? A relationship is a "need", and where there is "need", how can there be comparison? If you didn’t have a form called 'ego,' which is built over a period of time, would you be able to witness the presence called 'love'? If ego gives form and love is presence, don’t they function together in synchronization rather than in opposition?For me :

Ego nd love aren’t opposites, but rather complementary. Ego gives us form, while love is the presence that connects us. Together, they can create a balanced relationship....

That’s exactly the point! If ego and love are complementary, then why compare them in a relationship? Your original question asked which is "more important", but if they work together, doesn’t that mean comparison itself is unnecessary?Isn’t your question diverting people’s minds from understanding their synchronization?

Hello and good evening bro. I did mention in my post that ego and pride aka self respect are two different things , maybe the sides of a same coin. Yet Ego should always take a back step when it comes to love but at the same time self respect needs to be upheld. One can be truly madly deeply in love with a person but if that partner is not giving you the same back or for that matter taking you for granted, I think that amounts to a toxic and a one way relationship.
