What is more important in a relationship, your ego or the love you feel for that person?

Is your question correct? A relationship is a "need", and where there is "need", how can there be comparison? If you didn’t have a form called 'ego,' which is built over a period of time, would you be able to witness the presence called 'love'? If ego gives form and love is presence, don’t they function together in synchronization rather than in opposition?

Ego nd love aren’t opposites, but rather complementary. Ego gives us form, while love is the presence that connects us. Together, they can create a balanced relationship....

That’s exactly the point! If ego and love are complementary, then why compare them in a relationship? Your original question asked which is "more important", but if they work together, doesn’t that mean comparison itself is unnecessary?Isn’t your question diverting people’s minds from understanding their synchronization?
