MaYa
Wellknown Ace
Unfinished Yet Beutiful - 1
She was a free spirit, fearless, cheerful, and full of life. He, on the other hand, was reserved, a quiet observer, yet a well-known public figure in forum, a wallflower with an active presence. They first crossed paths on the forum, where she would post random thoughts, and he, noticing her, began to respond with small comments on her creations. The exchange grew, and soon, they started meeting in corners of Beta, the chatroom where both spent hours lost in conversations.
Her outspoken nature piqued her curiosity about him. Despite her growing fame in the chatroom, he didn’t seem to notice her. Intrigued and a bit impatient, she decided to make the first move. One day, she sent him a simple "Hi" in his personal chat. It took a few minutes for him to reply with a quiet "Hi." By then, she had to leave, it was a busy day for her.
The next afternoon, as she sat in a cab heading home after a long day at work, she logged back into Beta. As expected, he was there. She greeted him again with a casual "Hello." This time, his response came almost immediately, "Hello." But it felt distant. She couldn’t help but wonder why he wasn’t engaging more warmly. Yet, she, who usually thrived on attention, found herself craving his.
Determined to keep the conversation alive, she asked, "How are you?" His response was short, almost indifferent: "Fine." Frustration bubbled inside her. If he wasn’t interested in talking, why bother? She thought, Let him be... But just as she was about to break the silence and end the conversation, he typed something unexpected, "Lunch kazhicho?"
Her heart skipped. Finally.... A question, an opening. She smiled as she typed back, "No, I’ll eat once I reach back. Avidy?" He answered quickly, "Time akunne ullu."
It was time for her to get out of the cab. As she prepared to leave, she felt a fleeting sense of connection, and with a smile, she closed the conversation, wondering if things might be different the next time they met.
In that small exchange, there was something unspoken, a quiet dance between two worlds, one loud, one reserved but both searching for something they hadn't yet found.
