To open my hands, to loosen the hold,
A quiet ache, a story untold.
The weight of love, the wish to keep,
Yet love whispers, "Let them leap."
For freedom's call is fierce and clear,
And I hold them close while they draw near,
But love’s true face knows when to part,
Even if it shatters the strongest heart.
The pain of letting, deep and raw,
A silent scream, a quiet law,
That in release, we find the grace,
To let them wander, to leave this place.
So I watch them soar, unbound, untied,
With empty hands and silent pride,
For love is wide and love is deep,
And sometimes letting is the way we keep.

Letting go in love can often feel like loss, but in that loss, there’s a quiet strength and selflessness that lingers.
