Pride month

Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) Pride Month is currently celebrated each year in the month of June to honor the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan. The Stonewall Uprising was a tipping point for the Gay Liberation Movement in the United States. In the United States the last Sunday in June was initially celebrated as "Gay Pride Day,"
 
Events and celebrations are a wonderful way to show support and create visibility. A while back, I attended a pride festival that really opened my eyes to the diversity and strength of the community. The energy was infectious, with colorful costumes, dancing, and lots of laughter.There were also important conversations happening, especially about challenges faced by the community, like those recent events in Kerala. These gatherings create a space for everyone to share their stories and connect. It's encouraging to see so many gay events popping up that foster inclusivity and celebration.
