After a long time, I finally saw her. Her birthday was a few days ago, but I missed her so much. I kissed her on the forehead and said, "Love you, Ma."
"Come, Beti, your paratha and aloo sabzi are ready," she replied.........
I told her, "No, Ma, I just want to sleep in your lap."
"First, change your dress."
"Please, I need some peace after this hectic life, Ma." She gave me a gentle nod. She’s always been that way.........gentle but not very expressive, the typical housewife......
I brought her a small kadai from the bazaar, something she had wanted for a while. I saw a soft, brilliant smile spread across her lips, reassuring me, "Hey, I’m your mother. My lap is always here for you, ready to catch your tears when you’re worried."
I felt grateful, surrounded by her warmth......... Her hands were a little rough from all the dishwashing, but that only made me smile. We never suffered poverty, but my mother never allowed anyone else to take on that role....
I would like to hear something about your support and pillar, Ma..............
