I have always loved you,
First, without even knowing,
That my heart had already chosen you,
Long before my mind could see.

When I finally realized,
It was too late...
You were gone,
Too far to hear my unspoken words.

But fate led us back again,
After a long and silent wait.
I poured my heart out,
And you stood there,
Shocked by the madness in my love.

You had no choice,
You knew my heart was fragile,
That without you,
I could shatter in my own storm.

So, you held me,
Not in love, but in care,
Watching as I fell deeper,
And pulling me back when I drowned too far.

Then, slowly,
You began to slip away,
A soul just beyond my reach,
A presence I could feel,
But never touch.

I became normal...
Or at least, that’s what the world saw.
But love like mine doesn’t die,
I locked it away,
A treasure deep within my heart.

And each time you come close,
You can still find it,
If you dare to dig through the past.
But I know...
You fear what lies buried inside.

So now, I am just your friend,
Your companion in the quiet,
Still holding onto your words,
Even when they cut like a knife.

Yet, here you are,
Still with me...
Not as mine,
But still… with me.
