Lips

Finger on the lip was to induce silence, or that's what schools taught me, but I've been wondering why there's sounds when the fingers are on the lips, ohh !! someone might have misbehaved, but I've seen the students being sent out but here they let him in, maybe he's a master ? but in both cases sound is inevitable. I thought noises were made when fingers were taken away from the lips, yet there's noise when fingers slips into the lips, Umm so do I blame myself for my mind or my teacher who skipped the best part ?

Yeah ofcourse.. if we keeps our fingers inside of the lips and gives some pressure from inside, there will be some sound .. from the upper lips.. (whistle) hope none taken in wrong way .. :giggle:

Pole may be the right word not pin. So let it be pole drop silence. Making noises while pole drops should be called music not noise, it soothes our mind and senses.

the gesture of putting one's index finger to the lips is intended to mean the same thing as saying "shhhh".
This is from Cambridge Dictionary:
Marge put a finger to her lips to shush us.
again, this was am interpretation from the " Keep quiet" From hospitals later pictures replaced words
