Grace is a gentle person , a student and was focused on her future, determined to build a life where she could be independent and strong. She built walls around her heart, afraid of the hurt . Then, one night at a college fest, Ansel walked into her life...smart, intelligent, kind, gentle, and patient. He was a dreamer, preparing to leave soon to pursue his passion of flying, and something about him intrigued her.

They became friends, talking for hours about their hopes and fears, their goals, their dreams. Grace admired his ambition, and he, her quiet strength. It wasn’t long before Ansel’s affection for her shifted from friendship to something more, something deeper.

But Grace, consumed by the pressure of her studies and her fear of the vulnerability that came with love, couldn’t handle it. “I can’t love you like you do,” she whispered, her heart breaking. “Please, let find someone who can love you..”

Ansel tried to stay, to convince her they could make it work, but Grace was firm. She needed to be alone, even if it meant losing him. And so, she pushed him away, forcing herself to focus on her studies, take care of her family and future.

Then came the days with no contact, days without him were harder than she ever imagined. She missed him—more than she ever thought possible. His absence echoed through her life, like a constant reminder of what she had lost. Then it hit her: she loved him. She always had. She had been so afraid of loving him that she never realized she already had.
After almost a year, Grace found herself staring at his contact, wondering if it was too late. She had spent so many months convincing herself she had made the right decision, but now the silence between them felt unbearable. Deciding to break the no-contact phase, Grace, with shaking hands, finally reached out to him: “I’m sorry, Ansel. I was wrong. I love you.”

Though Ansel saw the message as soon as it popped up on his notification bar, he didn’t reply immediately. She waited, hoping. A full day passed before his message finally came through...

images (9).jpeg
Her heart raced, torn between excitement and fear as she opened it...words were soft but final.
“Grace, I’ve moved on. I waited for you, but now it’s too late. I thought I could wait for you, but somewhere along the way, I realized I couldn’t keep loving someone who wasn’t ready to love me. Those days were painfully hard for me, but I’m slowly finding peace. I’m sorry.”

Her heart shattered as she realized she had lost him forever. The realization stung like nothing she had ever felt before. As she stared at his message, tears streaming down her face, she made a decision. She would wait for him, try once more. She convinced herself that if their love was true, he would change.

She replied, “It’s okay... it’s too late for you. Please sleep.”
He replied, “Yes, it’s late.”

And that was the last time she ever heard from him. Yet, despite everything, Grace waited!!! What do you think.. Will he ever realise her ?

I don’t think he could ever move on—how could he? When someone loves from the heart, they won’t just give up—they’ll wait, no matter how much it hurts. Even when Grace kept her distance, he respected her need for space, never forcing her, but always being there, offering care and support from afar.

It’s clear that Grace has her fears, and perhaps she’s afraid of opening up completely because of that. Yet, at the same time, she’s also afraid of losing him. She’s built walls, not because she doesn’t care, but because she’s unsure, even though deep down, she feels love for him.

If this were their real story, I’d say take all the time you need to figure things out. Resolve the inner conflicts, and don’t rush. There’s no need to hurry to define things. Just know that love is patient—it’s waiting for a message, a call, a meeting, a hug. And maybe even now, he’s still waiting for her text or call.
Like in the movie PK, he may be waiting for his Jaggu to finally call and tell him how she feels. True love waits, with hope and patience, for the moment when everything clicks into place.
That would be a fairytale finale, but this is lyf ♥️ Thanks for reading @Baazzi :blessing:

Reverse the gender roles and then there was I. True story :) ❤️

What does it feel like being athe the other end
Well, i think sambavichath ellam nallathinu. Grateful for the experience because I learned boundaries that way, and a lot about myself. And i honestly feel like I have grown a lot, from gaining the strength to break out of it. Resisting chasing after him was painful even for me, but change is freeing ❤️

I hope you gain the courage to move on dreamu. Attachment is not affection.

Good actually I always followed two beliefs in life: 'All is well' and 'This too shall pass.".

Yes of course it's hard to move on thou we need to do that slowly..

It's better to move on. This situation can happen even after years of love and living together. Fate is something that is unpredictable. May be it's not the fault of both people but something made them apart. Move on and reach new goals in life.
