DO U KNOW...?

Stomach acid contains hydrochloric acid, which is known to dissolve many types of metal.

So, stomach acid can dissolve a metal, if the metal in question is susceptible to dissolution in hydrocloric acid.

Stomach acid, sometimes called gastric acid, is made up of potassium chloride, sodium chloride, and hydrochloric acid. Exactly how strong is stomach acid? Well, acids are measured on a scale known as the pH scale. The pH scale goes from 0 to 14. 0 is the most acidic, 7 is neutral, and 14 is the least acidic.
The pH of stomach acid usually ranges from 1 to 3. At its strongest, the pH of stomach acid just below that of battery acid! That’s why it’s able to eat through the food in your stomach pretty quickly.
We all realize stomach acid and the way it helps us digest the food we eat...

Some people struggle with stomach problems during which an excessive amount of acid is formed. When that happens, the epithelial cells can’t continue with the task of protecting the stomach lining. Stomach acid can then damage the liner of the stomach. This creates what doctors call gastric ulcers.

Good one anna

Yes, it doesn't mean you can swallow a piece of steel and expect it to be digested. Our stomach can't store food for more than 4 hours , either it is broke down to smaller particles or not, it transfers the processed food called chyme to small intestine and later to large intestine and then excreted through anus. So mostly the metal will be coming out as it went in or get stuck somewhere in between leading to bowel obstruction and constipation which can even be fatal.

This fact is more practical when we put a metal in a jar filled with stomach acids and wait for days to watch it getting dissolved.
