Common Sense: The Steady Voice Within

When voices clash and tempers flare,
Common sense rises, steady and rare.
It shows us just "what is," neither true nor false,
A living fact that guides us through it all.

Personal knowledge can lead us astray,
Shaped by feelings that twist and sway.
But when we embrace the unknown ahead,
We discover new paths where our hearts are led.

When doubts arise and fears take hold,
Common sense shines, fierce and bold.
It cuts through the chaos, reveals what’s clear,
The simple truth that brings us near.

So let’s trust in what we all can share,
A bridge to understanding, a breath of fresh air.
With common sense, united we stand,
Together, we can transform this land.

Transformation.....
It will..

Once we get united irrespective of anything with their senses...

Then only senses will surely be common sense and transformation will start...

Strength in unity
I appreciate your response with "Strength in unity." It’s an interesting take, but I wanted to share my observations on why I see things a bit differently.

To me, common sense is "what is"—a living fact that guides us through inherent intelligence rather than the distortions that arise from personal knowledge. In this way, strength and weakness are ideas, not facts; concepts like strength and weakness emerge from comparative thinking, born from personal knowledge, often leading to division, and division leads to conflict, which in turn leads to war. Strength implies a counterpart—weakness—and this duality creates an illusion that can hinder unity.

In my view, common sense transcends these ideas. It’s about embracing what exists without the baggage of comparison or judgment. When we rely on common sense, we see clarity and connection that don’t depend on being strong or weak; it simply is. Unity exists where there is only "what is," and "what is" has no counterpart because 'what is' can only be witnessed or seen, not described. So, common sense is always about what we can observe without any filter.

While the notion of strength can suggest a kind of unity, it can also reinforce divisions. For me, unity comes from acknowledging our witnessing of everything and understanding without needing to measure our experiences against each other.

There’s a lot of wisdom in acknowledging that personal knowledge, shaped by our emotions, can lead us astray. By being open to the unknown and trusting in what connects us, we can find clarity and unity. Your poem brings out the idea that common sense isn’t just an individual trait—it’s a shared understanding that can unite us and lead to transformation
