It’s funny how the smallest things can become the most important..
He’s an early riser—out of bed before the sun, rushing off to work before most people even open their eyes. And for the longest time, he never bothered with breakfast. Too busy, too much to do, always on the move.
It started as a simple question. “Did you eat?” Every morning, without fail. At first, he’d laugh it off. “No time.” Or worse, “Not hungry.”
But I wasn’t having that. “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day,” I reminded him. “You can’t just skip it.”
Still skips at times, but yes. Now, he eats. Not because he suddenly believes in the magic of breakfast, but because he knows I’d be upset if he skipped it.
“Can’t have my queen angry, can I?” he teases.
And I love that...
