I used to believe it, I used to believe in numerology too and I learnt a bit of numerology and played with it. I gave myself a name correction and wrote it on paper and put it on my cupboard. Months passed and it didn't help me. I was going through an emotional melt-down, so I resorted to these things to magically fix myself. And around that time, I predicted and told my grandma when would my uncle gets married and he exactly got married around that time. My grandma still boasts about it, that I predicted it but now I know it was a lucky shot.

My mom believes in astrology a lot and she knew I was going through a hard time so she consulted an astrologer and he told her to take me to specific temples, to have me perform some poojas, to have me perform some abhishekas. And I obeyed but they didn't do any good to me. I was not getting any better.

Then I started to think, do these things actually work?

My answer would be no. There is no astrology, there is no science behind it. It is just a scare tactic people who can't work hard to make money, use to loot money from innocent people. I can understand why people believe in such things, I really do as I was there. I was weak, I was dumb and most importantly I was scared, so I fell for it. And there are many who are still falling for it. As we all are wired to be afraid of something we can't understand, something we can't predict, something we can't be so sure about and the future is one such thing. So we created so many things that would give us some kind of hope when we are going through tough times. But sometimes hope is not good, sometimes hope is a mirage that puts you under an illusion that things get better, that things will be awesome. It is a great driving force but it can also kill people. It can make you do foolish things.

If astrology is anything, I would place it under social engineering. There is nothing divine about it. It is sheer manipulation and deception and there is nothing divine about deception.

And if anyone gets offended by that, I am sorry but it is what it is.

And if you think I am unreasonable, well, I don't mind at all.

You cannot change your fate by Pooja, if an astrologer refers you to do so it means he is cheating you. In general it is True and it will happen 75 %of the time. But however your karma can change your astrology. That's why in order to do pooja you can better spend the spend money to help some poor people.

It doesn't make any sense, if you can change the outcome then it is worth knowing, if you can't, then it is a waste of time and money and it makes you worried about what is gonna come, isn't it? So why not just stop predicting the future and do things that make you a better person? If you can do things that can make you a better person, why worry about the future or anything? Your future is in your own hands, it will be as you make it to be.

Science is about facts and proof and there is no such thing as 75% fact, 75% proof.
If you mention a percentage in such things, you are dealing with chance and when you are dealing with chance, you are dealing with uncertainty, when you are dealing with uncertainty, you are dealing with the unknown, so isn't it safe to say, "I don't know, I am just rolling the dice here, shooting an arrow in the dark". And when you think of shooting arrows into the dark, you must know it is where things that don't exist come to life to fear people that are in the light, to drag them into the darkness.

Am I making any sense? Maybe.

But tell me one thing , in what way sexual desire is related to astrology? Coz sexual desire depends on many factors but not on astrology I think.
