Anaira’s Musings !!

Always Happy
It's important to be happy,
every single day.

When at home or at school,

and especially when you play.

Always being happy,

is a very cool style.

Don't be shy to show us all,

your big old shiny smile.

Make sure you smell those flowers,

exactly when they bloom.

Every time you're happy,

you will light up every room.

Don't hide happiness in a box,

make sure you freely share.

Now go and jump around,

and spread it in the air.

Search of Happiness
A masterpiece,
of art,
Is what happiness,
is to the heart.

It’s much more,
than a state of mind.
When we seek it,
we’re often blind.

Into the future or past,
we often search and stare,
Yet happiness sits,
next to our chair.

We must stop,
looking right through,
What it’s made of
we’ve always knew.

Originates,
deep inside,
To our very being,
it’s closely tied.

Let’s take a deep look,
and openly embrace,
Happiness
into our space.

-- Eternity --

Eternity is nothing but an extension of time.
Eternity may be forever, the moment mine.
We pretend not to know what eternity means,
A sense of endlessness bursts thru the seams.
None of us question the reality of existence,
We know it is there by our sheer persistence.
What of the moment we are no longer there?
I don’t rightly know, I have never been there.
Enough to know I am awake, conscious, alive.
Dawn arrives on time, another day to survive.
Even at dusk with its apt message of decline,
I lay down to rest knowing the future is mine.
Oh eternity, the timelessness as so much fluff,
I think the present moment more than enough.

Eternal Emotions
As long as the birds are singing,
As long as the fish can swim,
As long as the sun keeps shining,
I will love you in the bright or dim.

As long as the wind keeps blowing,
As long as the ocean waves,
As long as the stars are shimmering,
You will have my heart enslaved.

As long as time keeps flowing,
As long as the sky is blue,
As long as planets are spinning,
My love will forever be with you.

-- Master of Circumstances --

Who among us is a master of our circumstances?
Do our circumstances become the master of us?
Worry our way thru problems taking our chances.
When something good happens, we think it a plus.
When problems arise, we at once begin to waver.
Often at sixes and sevens about what we should do.
Whereas a master will difficult circumstances savor,
Drawing on all the sage wisdom that he ever knew.
His abiding attitude: every problem has a solution.
Sound reason, logic and patience will show the way.
Time as the great healer remains his firm resolution.
Whatever may be the cost, he is ever willing to pay.
And so his advice: in the face of life’s circumstance,
Draw a deep breath, be brave, and take your chance.

-- The Eternal Question Why --

Each of us are cut of a different cloth,
With all the inquisitiveness of a moth.
Each of us travel along a road of destiny,
In pursuit of one true elusive mystery.

We journey from here to Ultima Thule,
Always in the light of the golden rule.
Whenever we feel our morale needs a boost,
We return to the hearth like a chicken to roost.

We close our eyes giving life due consideration,
Lost in the maze of reflective contemplation.
The songs of blue birds set our souls at ease,
The sight of bluebells nodding sleepily in breeze.

Just as the swallows travel elsewhere for summer,
The squirrels prepare with foresight for the winter.
Like sparrows, we to travel seasonally on the go,
Like squirrels we have foresight but don’t always know.

How easily we sit comfortably in our train of thought,
Our thoughts upholstered by all the dreams we sought.
At summer’s end, wind shakes off flower petals with ease,
In heartless winter winds, light snow dusts the birch trees.

In the darkness of the night and silence of the flat land,
Amid the growing wheat and thriving weeds, a command.
Along the long empty roads, the sullen fire of sunset fading,
The tired souls of men and women into the night wading.

Against all this and more, the eternal unresponsive sky
Amid all the answers we learn in life, the eternal question WHY

-- With Beauty, Without Beauty --

With beauty,
Bliss in what nature may give.
Without beauty,
The human being cannot live.

With beauty,
All of creation to espy.
Without beauty,
On what can we rely.

With beauty,
The enchantment of falling snow.
Without beauty,
Stark, bleak winter on show.

With beauty,
Untold mysteries unveiled.
Without beauty,
The heart by a spear impaled.

With beauty,
The warmth of summer spread.
Without beauty,
An eternal winter instead.

With beauty,
I see snow dust in a star.
Without beauty,
I see darkness near and far.

With beauty,
In the desert a well.
Without beauty,
A mirage as magic spell.

With beauty,
I see the celestial throne.
Without beauty,
I am simply alone.

With beauty,
My soul as whole.
Without beauty,
The devil my soul stole.

With beauty,
I feel nature’s bliss.
Without beauty,
I will nature’s gift miss.

In nature’s beauty always at home,
Serenity and peace under heaven’s dome.

-- The Long and Short of It --

No accounting for time, not one bit,
This is the long and short of it.

The day is long
The night is short
The hour is long
The life is short

Suffering is long
Happiness is short
War is long
Peace is short

The journey is long
The arrival is short
Patience is long
Impatience is short

Waiting is long
The appointment is short
The morning is long
The afternoon is short

Adagio is long
Adios is short
Disappointment is long
Astonishment is short

Childhood is long
Old age is short
Remembering is long
Forgetting is short

No accounting for time, not one bit
This is the long and short of it

Impromptu pen-

Amidst the glimmer, amidst the glare,
In a world of dazzle, we dance without a care.
All that glitter, all that jazz,
Life's vibrant rhythm, in every pizzazz.

Through shimmering nights and days so bright,
We chase illusions, our hearts take flight.
In the symphony of dreams, we find our groove,
In all that glitter, we dare to move.

But beneath the sparkle, beneath the gleam,
Lies a truth deeper than it may seem.
For amidst the dazzle, amidst the craze,
We seek solace in quieter ways.

In the quiet moments, away from the fuss,
We find the treasures, the truest of us.
Beyond the glitter, beyond the jazz,
Lies the beauty of simplicity, a timeless razzmatazz.

I am worthy

Sometimes you have
to convince yourself
about how worthy you are.
Sometimes you have
to cheer yourself up
especially when no one
is there for you.
You have
to be brave alone.
You have to remind yourself
that you are strong,
worthy, and beautiful.
Sometimes you have
to constantly remind yourself
about the things that
you deserve in order
for you to grow
as a better person.
Remind yourself that
you deserve
to be happy,
you deserve
to be treated well,
and you deserve the things
that you've been wishing for.

Compliment yourself today.
Be proud for your progress.
Be proud for being
a strong person.
Sometimes you just have
to see yourself in the mirror
and be proud for the person
that you have become.
You did well,
always remember that.
Sometimes you just have
to see yourself in the mirror
and say, “I am worthy.”

That’s a powerful quote to go with the pic!!

I wish that this road that led me to you won't vanish or disappear,
'Cause finding you among the stars at night during my darkest days made me feel alright,
As your light shines upon me, but then I realize that the more I gaze at you,
The more that I see, you're not just simply a star for me, but a moon up on those night skies.

You came into my life during a moment of heartbreak and healing,
Jumping in between the pains and the joys of heartaches and healing,
You made me feel that you're here to stay, even if sometimes you have those down moments,
You made me understand the depths of my soul by showing me your soul,
By letting me see through your heart, and watch as the depths of your soul unfold, before my eyes.

I'm sorry if sometimes I can't contain my emotions and I tell you about it in one sitting,
I didn't want to shock you, but you seemed not to mind, feeling through my emotions,
But I manage to say it to you, in a gradual manner, so I won't overwhelm you,
You embrace me like I'm a part of your system, and hold me close to keep me warm,
Even if sometimes we come to a point of breaking, we manage to stand up and hold on to ourselves.

And— to each other.

HIDE

She hurts deep inside
She wants to run and hide
To escape from it all

She is filled with pride
Often feelings she denies
When she's about to fall

She holds tight her chest
Anxious feelings and unrest
She's now put up a wall

Life has put her to the test
Feels like everything's a mess
Even when she's standing tall

Emotions take away her joy
Fatal thoughts start to deploy
Making her feel very small

She hurts deep inside
She wants to run and hide
To escape from it all

-- Apportioning Blame --

You cannot blame a tree
In the event of a hanging.
You cannot blame the ocean
In the event of a drowning.

Do we blame time
For endless minutes and hours?
Do we blame our trusted beliefs
For their mystical powers?

Do we blame the eagle
As it freely soars on high?
Do we blame the wind
As it gently utters a sigh?

Does anyone blame the sun
For the brilliance of its gleam?
Does anyone blame a placid pond
For having such a face serene?

Does anyone blame the moon
When the new moon fails to appear?
Does anyone blame the stars
When we hold their mysteries dear?

Do we blame the unicorn
For stirring our imagination?
Do we blame the haunted house
Allowing ghosts to escape detection?

Do we blame time
For the brevity of the seasons?
Do we blame winter
For being the harshest of the seasons?

Do we blame the fabric of our being
With its torn cloth?
Do we blame the blind for not seeing
Or the impulses of the light-seeking moth?

Is the earth to blame
When it shudders and shakes as thunder?
Is the night to blame
When stars fill our hearts with wonder?

We never blame the desert
When its dryness protects a hidden well.
We never blame the shimmering mirage
When it casts into the mind a tempting spell.

Do we blame sickness and death
For their inevitability?
Do we blame the life of the spirit
For its enduring mystery?

There is always blame to go around,
Someone, something must give account.
Silence blamed for having no sound,
Its emptiness conceals such full amount.

-- Love Light --

Her eyes of night-sky blue,
Her breath with dawn dew,
Breathing melodies of twilight,
Echoing in the darkening night.

As a wild animal drawing near,
She stops, eyes alert, standing tall.
In full knowledge she is held dear,
With no evidence of any fear at all.

When her eyes fill with tears,
Her soft hand stroked my cheek.
In love together in future years,
No two hearts need more seek.

I see her love light, bravely burning,
My own love light, tenderly yearning.
