yes I know this, but I'm just asking where the "American Civil War" comes into play? you said "now stop explaining the American Civil War" I'm not getting the connection I guess.this poem was written by walt whitman, not by me......it was a poem extracted from the movie Dead poet society..
nah, its fine. Nothing wrong with it.@Hades better lock this thread its usless like thier poke and its not funny at all
it was written by walt whitman as an ode to abraham lincoln, wait let me ask chatgpt...yes I know this, but I'm just asking where the "American Civil War" comes into play? you said "now stop explaining the American Civil War" I'm not getting the connection I guess.
yes, that is true. Ok, NOW i see the connection you were trying to make. it was about Abe, not so much the war. ok.it was written by walt whitman as an ode to abraham lincoln, wait let me ask chatgpt...
this thread was all about game and his contribution....just like an ode to abraham lincoln, he won the civil war and he was assasinated. so was he.....btw his name was not mad max nor his user id in forum or chat id. censor censoryes, that is true. Ok, NOW i see the connection you were trying to make. it was about Abe, not so much the war. ok.
.......Ok Suggestion noted.@RJJHANVII in one of your comments you said about a saying "follow what you preach" ,its actually "Practice what you preach" ,just for future reference when you wanna make more threads that you KNOW will cause fights and drama , also just to be clear on what Hades suggested was on your opening thread ,you add underneath the poem it was written by Walt Whitman so that some users who dont know the poem dont think it is you that wrote it. if your gonna use another Authors work after all least have the respect toward there work
coming to the phrase, it was quoted by me.....and i dont know who quoted it "practice what you preach" and i dont remember if it was first said by franklin D roosevelt or by buddha or anonymous....@RJJHANVII in one of your comments you said about a saying "follow what you preach" ,its actually "Practice what you preach" ,just for future reference when you wanna make more threads that you KNOW will cause fights and drama , also just to be clear on what Hades suggested was on your opening thread ,you add underneath the poem it was written by Walt Whitman so that some users who dont know the poem dont think it is you that wrote it. if your gonna use another Authors work after all least have the respect toward there work
Practice what you preach is a saying ,it was correcting the saying you said ,its not follow what your preach (your weren't far off ) but the correct term of the saying is Practice what you preach so that doesn't matter cause its a saying everyone uses ,but the poem yeah you should add a lil qoute under with the authors name ,and staff can move the thread cause redoing it is against forum rules ,copying or making same threads in more then one spot isn't allowedcoming to the phrase, it was quoted by me.....and i dont know who quoted it "practice what you preach" and i dont remember if it was first said by franklin D roosevelt or by buddha or anonymous....

O Captain! my Captain! our fearful trip is done,
The ship has weather’d every rack, the prize we sought is won,
The port is near, the bells I hear, the people all exulting,
While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel grim and daring;
But O heart! heart! heart!
O the bleeding drops of red,
Where on the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead.
O Captain! my Captain! rise up and hear the bells;
Rise up—for you the flag is flung—for you the bugle trills,
For you bouquets and ribbon’d wreaths—for you the shores a-crowding,
For you they call, the swaying mass, their eager faces turning;
Here Captain! dear father!
This arm beneath your head!
It is some dream that on the deck,
You’ve fallen cold and dead.
My Captain does not answer, his lips are pale and still,
My father does not feel my arm, he has no pulse nor will,
The ship is anchor’d safe and sound, its voyage closed and done,
From fearful trip the victor ship comes in with object won;
Exult O shores, and ring O bells!
But I with mournful tread,
Walk the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead.
