AN ODE TO OUR FRIEND : MAD MAX MEMORIAL

this poem was written by walt whitman, not by me......it was a poem extracted from the movie Dead poet society..
yes I know this, but I'm just asking where the "American Civil War" comes into play? you said "now stop explaining the American Civil War" I'm not getting the connection I guess. :wondering:

it was written by walt whitman as an ode to abraham lincoln, wait let me ask chatgpt...

yes, that is true. Ok, NOW i see the connection you were trying to make. it was about Abe, not so much the war. ok.
this thread was all about game and his contribution....just like an ode to abraham lincoln, he won the civil war and he was assasinated. so was he.....btw his name was not mad max nor his user id in forum or chat id. censor censor

@Hades @JUPITER close the thread..:(...everything is not all about her or you, poking. satire and humour is a form of expression bes suited to stand as an adult rather than abusing....

@RJJHANVII in one of your comments you said about a saying "follow what you preach" ,its actually "Practice what you preach" ,just for future reference when you wanna make more threads that you KNOW will cause fights and drama , also just to be clear on what Hades suggested was on your opening thread ,you add underneath the poem it was written by Walt Whitman so that some users who dont know the poem dont think it is you that wrote it. if your gonna use another Authors work after all least have the respect toward there work

:think1:.......Ok Suggestion noted.
But my original intention was to share a link related to the poem and thread. Unfortunately, it didn’t comply with YouTube’s policies.

so I had posted it under the general thread (if you may have noticed) and not under the poem/literature thread. For further clarification, I will repost it again—please check it.
Regarding @Hades' comments, I only assumed he would know the context and background of the poem and the movie reference I shared in the thread, as it's a famous piece that typically doesn’t require additional references. However, moving forward, I will ensure to provide proper references and credits (no more copyright violation strikes).
As for the “drama” part, thanks for acknowledging it as such—surely, you’re a “drama killer,” hehe (pun intended). :holiday:

Practice what you preach is a saying ,it was correcting the saying you said ,its not follow what your preach (your weren't far off ) but the correct term of the saying is Practice what you preach so that doesn't matter cause its a saying everyone uses ,but the poem yeah you should add a lil qoute under with the authors name ,and staff can move the thread cause redoing it is against forum rules ,copying or making same threads in more then one spot isn't allowed
ill move it to E diaries for ya and as the thread maker it is up to you to inform people to keep there comments about the thread (nicely ) and not allow the BS that has been posted wether they are friends or not cause tbh i was ready to delete the whole thread , it is the fighting and stupid childish shit here in the forum that SEX CHATTERS dont wanna use the forum cause all they see when they come in is petty fights ,arguing and stupid complaints done by grown ass adults acting like school children in a playground

O Captain! my Captain! our fearful trip is done,
The ship has weather’d every rack, the prize we sought is won,
The port is near, the bells I hear, the people all exulting,
While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel grim and daring;
But O heart! heart! heart!

O the bleeding drops of red,
Where on the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead.

O Captain! my Captain! rise up and hear the bells;
Rise up—for you the flag is flung—for you the bugle trills,
For you bouquets and ribbon’d wreaths—for you the shores a-crowding,
For you they call, the swaying mass, their eager faces turning;
Here Captain! dear father!

This arm beneath your head!
It is some dream that on the
deck,
You’ve fallen cold and dead
.

My Captain does not answer, his lips are pale and still,
My father does not feel my arm, he has no pulse nor will,
The ship is anchor’d safe and sound, its voyage closed and done,
From fearful trip the victor ship comes in with object won;
Exult O shores, and ring O bells!

But I with mournful tread,
Walk the deck my Captain lies,

Fallen cold and dead.
