Am I A Girl or A Woman ?❣️

shivagni

Favoured Frenzy
In the mirror, I find my face,
A canvas of time, a shifting grace.
Am I a girl with dreams so bright,
Or a woman, ready to take flight?

With laughter ringing in the air,
Childlike giggles, free from care.
Yet wisdom whispers in my ear,
Stories of courage, of hopes held dear.

Sun-kissed cheeks and youthful glow,
Versatile spirits, they ebb and flow.
A dance between the past and now,
A journey unfolding, I take a bow.

In every heartbeat, I feel the blend,
Of innocence and strength they send.
So here I stand, not tied to one,
Just a soul beneath the sun.

With every step, I embrace it all,
Every rise, every stumble, I stand tall.
Am I a girl or a woman? It’s clear,

I am both, complete, feeling sheer.

When I look into the mirror I see my younger self staring back at me -- the healthy (fat if you y'all ain't that sensitive), no dark circles, smiling little child whose only concern was will he get porotta and chilly chicken for dinner.

I'm still smiling but come on whom are we kidding? We put on fake smiles so that no one knows what's going on inside ourselves.

But how did we get here?? Weren't we a happy child the other day? What happened to the promises we made to that child? What happened to our innocence?

I guess somehwere between growing up and "life happened" we forgot to live !!

well thats how our world changes as we grow.... those innocence nd pure bliss of childhood fades as life playes its game..... but the show must go on:blush:

You can check it easily by 3 simple steps*,

Step 1: check whether u started mensuration...

Step 2: Check ur boobs with hands. If you can hold it fully with ur hands, then u r a gal.
You can't hold it with ur hands fully, then, ur a woman...

Step 3: Check ur bottoms, if it's grown beyond ur imagination, then u r a women else, a gal...

* Note : no offense JK...

It's ur perception of a situation that determines whether u r a gal or a woman...

This is beautifully woven, like a dance between time and self-discovery. You’ve captured that delicate space between youth and maturity—the way we carry echoes of our past selves while stepping boldly into who we’re becoming.

It’s not about choosing between being a girl or a woman; it’s about embracing both, allowing them to coexist, shaping the journey ahead.

Did this come from a moment of deep reflection, or was it one of those spontaneous bursts of thought?

It’s completely natural to miss that innocence, the simpler times before life weighed you down with complexities. But every experience, every challenge you face, adds layers to who you are now, shaping you into a stronger, wiser woman. You carry the essence of that girl inside, in your ability to wonder, reflect, and grow. The beauty of life’s journey is finding the balance between embracing who you were and becoming who you’re meant to be.

When you gaze upon your face,
In that reflective, glassy space,
Don't seek perfection, flaw by flaw,
But see the strength you've come to draw.

The lines etched softly on your skin,
Tell tales of battles fought within,
Of laughter shared and tears that fell,
A story only you can tell.

The eyes that meet your own gaze there,
Hold depths of wisdom, rich and rare,
A universe of thoughts and dreams,
Reflecting back in vibrant gleams.

So when you look, don't criticize,
But see the beauty in your eyes,
The spirit that shines from deep inside,
And let your heart be filled with pride.

For you are worthy, strong, and true,
The person looking back at you,
Embrace the self you've come to be,
And in that mirror, find your free.

That innocent girl is still a part of you—she hasn’t disappeared, just grown. Life’s struggles shape us, but they don’t erase who we once were. Maybe she didn’t worry because she didn’t know the weight of the world yet, but you do now, and you’re still standing strong. That’s something to be proud of.

Do you ever wish you could go back, or do you just miss the feeling?

i definitely wish to go back to that innocent girl..... to be care free, to be happy, less bothered..... sometimes i find its too difficult to be in my current world

I get that. The weight of responsibilities, expectations, and struggles can make the past feel like a safe haven—one where life was simpler, and happiness didn’t need a reason. But even if you can’t go back to being that carefree girl, you can still carry pieces of her with you. Maybe in small moments—laughing without overthinking, finding joy in little things, or just allowing yourself to breathe without the pressure of the world on your shoulders.

Is there anything from those days that still makes you feel that way, even just for a moment?

A soul unbound, both fierce and free,
A dance of time, in harmony.
Not just a girl, nor just a name,
But a woman, a fire, an endless flame. ✨

Based on the information I have, "Shivangi" is a name of Indian origin, predominantly used for girls. Therefore, Shivangi is most likely a girl or woman. Hope you are clear now. ;)
