The sun hung low in the sky, casting a warm golden hue over the bustling college campus. Students milled about, laughter and chatter filling the air as they made their way to their classes. Among them, Ammu sat on a bench under a sprawling banyan tree, her sketchbook resting on her lap. She was lost in her drawings, the world around her fading into a blur.
Aashu approached, his heart racing. He had rehearsed this moment a thousand times in his mind, but now that he was here, the words felt heavy on his tongue. He had always admired Ammu from afar, captivated by her creativity and the way her eyes sparkled when she talked about her art. Today, he had decided to take a leap of faith.
“Ammu,” he called softly, his voice barely rising above the ambient noise. She looked up, her dark eyes meeting his, and he felt a rush of warmth. “Can we talk?”
“Sure, Aashu,” she replied, a hint of curiosity in her voice. She closed her sketchbook, sensing the seriousness in his tone.
He took a deep breath, his palms sweaty. “I’ve been thinking a lot lately… about us.” He paused, searching for the right words. “I really like you, Ammu. Like, more than just friends. I want to be with you.”
Ammu’s heart skipped a beat, a mix of surprise and elation flooding her senses. But just as quickly, a wave of reality crashed over her. She had always liked Aashu too, but the thought of a relationship felt like a fragile dream, one that could shatter at any moment. They were in college, with futures ahead of them, and she couldn’t shake the feeling that they were on different paths.
For a moment, she was frozen, her mind racing. She opened her mouth to respond, but no words came out. Instead, she felt a tightness in her chest, a whirlwind of emotions swirling within her. She wanted to say something, to explain, but the fear of what a relationship could mean loomed large.
Without a word, Ammu stood up abruptly, her sketchbook clutched tightly to her chest. Aashu’s eyes widened in confusion, his heart sinking as he watched her turn away.
“Ammu, wait!” he called after her, desperation creeping into his voice. But she didn’t stop. She walked away, her footsteps quickening as she moved through the throngs of students, the laughter and chatter fading into a distant hum.
Aashu stood there, rooted to the spot, a mix of disbelief and hurt washing over him. He had poured his heart out, and now, all he had was the echo of his own words hanging in the air. He felt a lump in his throat, the weight of unspoken feelings pressing down on him.
As Ammu disappeared from view, Aashu sank back onto the bench, staring at the empty space beside him. He had taken a chance, and though it hadn’t turned out the way he had hoped, he couldn’t shake the feeling that something precious had slipped through his fingers. The campus buzzed around him, but he felt utterly alone, grappling with the silence that had replaced the possibility of something beautiful.
As days passed by despite of aashu trails to reach ammu everything gets failed miserably like some one trying to fail him soon he figures out that someone is lurking him n ammu ....who is that third person? Y he is trying to fail aashu trails?
