Dressing is a personal choice, whether it's wearing shorts, bras, or bikinis nah? It should be normalized as 'Fucking Self Choice'

A few weeks ago, in Delhi............ I hopped on a bus where I had reserved a seat a couple of days earlier. Yeah, I was going back to my hometown, the complete journey wasn't by bus thou>> I was wearing shorts reaching few centimeters before my knees n a short top>> I was so-so comfortable. Thats only what I wanted!

freepik__candid-image-photography-natural-textures-highly-r__8690.jpeg

I entered the bus and looked for my reserved seat, which turned out to be in front of two ladies in their nearly 60s, dressed in sarees- likely South Indians.
They spoke fluently in Hindi, their conversation flowing smoothly. I checked their face, wrinkled and cheerful. They were busy gossiping, suddenly looked at me and then ugh!!

They did a close analysis over my dressing for at least 5 min,
EMBARASSING IT WAS, DISGUISTING IT WAS!!
But I don't care, may be old fashioned. So, I slightly made a smiling face n sat down. The bag found perfect balance on my lap, n I tried to cover my dress, just simply wanted to avoid unnecessary drama.

freepik__candid-image-photography-natural-textures-highly-r__8691.jpeg

As I settled into my seat, they began speaking in a mix of Hindi n broken English, with awkward grammar. One of them said to the other, Look at her outfit! Maybe she just wants to show off. Her parents should teach her better............The other nodded in agreement.

I felt completely dismissed- like my mood had been ruined........... In Hindi, we say, “mood kharab kar diya,” and that was exactly how I felt.

I shifted my bag aside, adjusted my shorts a little higher, and made my top more revealing. Then I turned to them and said: Hey, grandmas, this is my life, not yours. I choose how to showcase my body, so mind your own business.

freepik__candid-image-photography-natural-textures-highly-r__8692.jpeg

And there goes my point ITS JUST OUR DECISION, ITS JUST OUR LIKES THAT MATTERS, what others feel about our dressing just :::::: dismiss that!

Absolutely, Dressing is a powerful form of self-expression—a personal choice that allows us to communicate who we are without saying a word.

It’s about embracing individuality, wearing what feels right, and finding confidence in our own style.

Fashion isn’t just about fitting into trends or others' expectations; it’s about choosing what makes us feel empowered, comfortable, and authentically ourselves.

That’s a great reflection on the significance of personal style! Dressing as a form of self-expression truly allows individuals to convey their identity and emotions. It’s empowering to embrace what feels authentic rather than conforming to trends
