Yeah!!....what do you mean by which one us hotter?hotness of a substance is measured through its temperature. Here, the temperature is same for both water and oil. How can one be hotter than the other, then?

Obviously oil.There is no doubt about it because it takes much more heat to heat oil than water.
Both are equal even though both water and oil at 212°F have the same temperature, water has a higher heating capacity, and it can store more heat energy per unit mass than oil. This is why water might feel hotter when touched at the same temperature as oil
