What cycle should I buy?

Hello Friends,
I am looking to buy a new cycle and pick up cycling as a sport. As you would have guessed it I am a beginner. I would like to ride the cycle to office and sometimes take it on some trails, forest and muddy roads as well. It would be of great help if you could suggest some good one. Budget is under 40k. Thanks in advance
