Yes Municipal Tap Water filtered with cloth / strainer is good
Corporation and Municipality would meet drinking water standard.
Why better is, the pH will be around 7.0, TDS will be below 500 ppm and treated for germs. As the source of water might be rain water or river water, water quality would be within permissible limits.
The negative aspect of RO water is pH most of the time less than 6.5 unless pH booster is used, the TDS is most of the time less than 10 ppm unless RO tuned for controlled rejection.
If pH is 6.5 and less is acidic that will damage stomach and intestine leading to ulcer/peptic ulcer and corrode organs linked to digestive system.
TDS is normally less than 10 ppm in RO water, TDS is more important to our body as TDS is nothing but salts or minerals such as calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium etc which are essential to our health. Some dispute or oppose this saying minerals are adequately present in the food stuff we eat but it does not valid that drinking water need not have minerals.
This is why I say tap water is most suitable water for drinking than RO water.
