She tilted her head back, their eyes meeting. A challenge. An invitation.
A promise.
Tara didn’t hesitate.
With a coy smile, she took his hand and let him lead her off the dance floor, past the lingering eyes, past the knowing smirks.
Out of the pub, into the night.
The cool air did nothing to extinguish the fire between them. If anything, it only made it burn hotter.
Adi led her down the quiet street, toward a sleek black car parked at the curb. He opened the door for her, his eyes locked onto hers, waiting.
Tara slid in without a word.
The moment the door closed, sealing them in, the tension snapped.
Adi reached over, his hand sliding up her thigh, pushing the silky fabric of her dress higher. His touch was light, teasing, enough to make her ache.
"You looked too damn good dancing like that," he murmured, fingers tracing slow circles on her bare skin.
Tara turned to him, her breath shallow, her lips slightly parted. "And now that you have me?"
Adi smirked.
"I’m going to take my time ruining you."
Her pulse pounded.
"Drive," she ordered, voice laced with anticipation.
His eyes darkened.
"Yes, ma’am."
With a smirk, he started the engine, already picturing the ways he’d make her beg.
