#TamilNadu govt issues new guidelines to tackle the spread of Covid dated 18th April 2021

- Night curfew announced from 10pm to 4 am across the state from April 20.
- Public/ private transport not allowed to ply and inter-state/ district transport also suspended during this time period.
- Only essential services allowed to operate during night curfew. Media, petrol pumps, continuous process industries exempted. Transport for emergency medical need, airport, railway station alone will be allowed.
- Total lockdown on Sundays. Only essential services allowed.
- Parcel facility allowed from hotels from 6am- 10am, 12pm- 3pm and 6pm-9pm on Sundays.
-Tamil Nadu class 12 state board examinations postponed. Practical exams to go on as scheduled.
- 100 people allowed for weddings and 50 for funerals.
- Tourism suspended in hill stations such as Nilgiris, Kodaikkanal, Yercaud.
- Beaches, parks, zoos etc to be closed for public.
- Only 50% employees allowed to work in IT firm offices. Others should be given WFH.
- College, university exams & classes can be conducted online.
