Misunderstanding?

Do you think it will really happens, when peoples are egoistic...??
thats how now people's attitudes goes,
in a misunderstanding, we are always the person who was right
again down to our own egos
we can't be wrong, can we ?
many years ago, I had a misunderstanding with a friend, it doesn't matter what it was about.
but then the ego jumped in.......
for 3 years we never spoke
I missed his wedding
but still neither of us wanted to say we were wrong because of a misunderstanding.
In the end his new wife, who I had only met 3 times before stepped in
I am now godfather to his eldest daughter.
but I think back on it now, and think I could have lost a close friend of more than 30 years because of ego
again down to our own egos
