MY GRANDMAA ALWAYS SAID...

_ Don't go where your not invited.

_ Don't talk about what you don't know.

_ Don't interfere with things that are none of your business.

_ Do not open fridge in someone else's house.

_ Don't call after 10 pm.

_ Don't go see someone at lunchtime.

_ Don't enter other people's bedroom without permission.

They were the rules of good manners and they still are, because manners never go out of fashion :)

1.Dont swipe left and right when someone offers u to a see a pic
2.Dont take big chunks if you are offered food
3.Always hold the door for the person coming behind you
4.Be the first one to greet
5.Dont chew food loudly and drink without a sound
6.Smile at people, it makes their day good

Than what not to do, my elders taught only one good manners and thats wat to do

"Love without differences"

Then all manners will come
That works only when when "you make love" .

The 8 Best Etiquette Rules We can Learn From Grandma
  1. Welcome a new neighbor.
  2. Teach your kids to be good guests at someone's house.
  3. Hold the door for people behind you.
  4. Write letters and thank you notes.
  5. Take care of someone in need.
  6. Remember people's names.
  7. Look people in the eye (not at your smartphone).
  8. Always say please and thank you

24 good manners

  1. Say please when asking.
  2. Say thank you when receiving.
  3. Respect others’ property. Ask permission before touching or taking something.
  4. Return things you have borrowed from others (with a thank you, of course).
  5. Clean up after yourself at home and when you are visiting someone else’s house (ex. help pick up all those toys you trashed the playroom with).
  6. Write a thank you note, an email or make a phone call when you have received a gift from someone to thank them (Man, this is a big deal with Pauline. She HATES it when people don’t say thank you for gifts.).
  7. Don’t interrupt people when they are talking or on the phone. Wait your turn to speak.
  8. Put away technology during conversations or meals (being constantly on their phones/computers inhibits children connecting to the people around them and is rude to do around others)
  9. Close your mouth while chewing and don’t talk with your mouth full.
  10. Don’t forget to ask to be excused from the table and clear off your plate. Bonus points if they thank the host (or mom) for the meal.
  11. Place your napkin on your lap during meals. It is not to use as a pirate bandana during the meal… it is to be used to wipe your mouth.
  12. Don’t reach across the table … ask for food to be passed.
  13. When you meet someone new, look them in the eye when you tell them your name and shake their hand (teach your grandkids how to shake a hand by gripping it firmly. Shaking most kids’ hands is like gripping a wet noodle).
  14. Say “excuse me” when you bump into someone or if you burp.
  15. Put litter in the garbage, not on the ground or floor.
  16. Do not pick your nose in public
  17. If you are on public transport, offer your seat to the elderly, disabled people, or preganant women.
  18. Hold the door open for other people. Thank someone if they do it for you.
  19. Do not run around or make loud noises in places, such as restaurants, stores, or museums.
  20. Cover your mouth when you cough … other people do not want to be sprayed with your germs, even if you don’t have Corona.
  21. Do not say unkind things about people when you are out in public (“Look grandma, that lady has a really big bum!”)
  22. Knock on doors before entering.
  23. When someone asks how you are doing, reply and then ask the person how THEY are doing. (I taught all my grade 3 students this skill after a child did it to me and I was SO impressed at how thoughtful that was).
  24. When someone is talking to you, look at them
