Thought came in and took control,
Turned the earth from whole to cold.
It cut down trees and dried the streams,
All for power, all for dreams.
Desires grew, and nature broke,
As thoughtless actions filled the smoke.
Mountains crumbled, rivers dried,
In thought’s greed, the earth just cried.
Lines were drawn, walls were built,
The thought brought harm, and so came guilt.
The sky, once clear, turned dark and gray,
As thoughts of gain led us astray.
But deep inside, the earth still waits,
For love to open locked-up gates.
If we stop the thoughts that harm,
We’ll heal the earth with open arms.
