Music director Vidyasagar is one of the most successful and underrated composers of our times having delivered numerous memorable songs. The national award winner has worked in over 225 films spanning over 5 languages including one English film. He has also scored riveting bgms for all top stars of Tamil cinema.
Kabadi track
The Kabbadi intro track for Ghilli still gives goosebumps to fans and the intro scene is fondly looked back upon due to the mass bgm of Vidyasagar. So much so that it was reworked and used in Vijay’s Master by Anirudh and Lokesh Kanagaraj. The album was a chartbuster and all the songs are still fresh in people's memory.
Anbe Sivam
The title track of the film can move anyone and is listened to by many on long nights. With powerful singing by Kamal Haasan and meaningful lyrics of Vairamuthu elevates this song. Be it Yelo machi machi or Poovasam, Anbe Sivam album has many soulful songs. The Naattukoru Seithi track is a unique one used in a street play sequence.
