Tigers roam alone. They are not a team player. Tiger live in grassland & in dense forest and they are kind of shy. Lion on other hand is gregarious, like to roam freely and hunt strategically as a team. They both are totally different. There behavioral traits are different. It's a fluke if they face each other as opponent. There geographical areas are distinct and different.

  • The tiger kills for fun whereas the Lion kills only if he is hungry or feels threatened. That’s why Lion is a humble animal.
  • The tigers hunts alone whereas the Lions expects the lioness to hunt for them.
  • The tiger is smart and brutal when it comes to fighting tactics. Tiger can balance on it’s hind legs while fighting whereas the Lion cannot.
  • Siberian tiger is more dangerous than Bengal tiger though their population is very low compared to the latter. Siberian tiger will crush the lion if they both encounter each other.
  • Tiger is heavier and swift compared to the Lion. The size and speed do matter in winning a fight.
  • Tiger lives in the woods unlike the Lions, which lives in grassland. The jungles are harsh and dreadful environment compared to the grassland. This makes the tiger more proactive and dangerous. Tiger is the real King of the Jungle .
  • Tiger kills the family of other tiger to avenge the loss of territory to other tiger. The Lions live as a family and avoid territorial conflicts most of the time. The Tiger has more killer instinct.
The lions are known for bravery and humbleness. This makes Lions lovable compared to Tiger. But the Tiger is a brutal killer and doesn’t follow any code of the warrior.
LoL againnnnnnn...!!!!!:Cwl:

LION always....:heart1:

Lion vs Tiger: Length
Tigers are generally longer than lions – nearly twice as long. Male lions max out at nearly 7 ft, head, and body, while male tigers max out at nearly 13 ft.

Lion vs Tiger: Weight
The larger tigers also weigh more than lions. Male tigers can reach a whopping 660 lbs, while male lions max out at just under 500 lbs.

It depends, if you put a male tiger against a male lion, the chances of the lion winning gets higher.

Not because the lion is stronger than a tiger but because of its mane. Tigers almost all the time, go for the neck. As they are solitary hunters, it is always reasonable for them to go for the neck so that they can kill easily. So this behaviour gives the tiger a disadvantage. Cause lions mane is thick so it gets in the way of the bite of the tiger. So it takes more bites for the tiger to take down a tiger. Tigers are very quick fighters and weigh more, so they exhaust their energy quickly compared to lions. As lions are not as aggressive as tigers and use one claw at a time, they save their energy more. So if it is a male lion vs a tiger, then the tiger is in trouble, it should tweak its strategy a little bit. And since lions hunt in pride, they go for a bite on any vulnerable regions on the body. Neck, abdomen, legs or anything that they can bite on to weaken the pray. By the time the tiger gets hold of a lion's neck, it will already be weakened a lot. So the scales tip towards the lion a little bit. Not saying a lion would win definitely but just saying chances get higher for the male lion.

Coming to a tiger vs female lions. Almost all the time the tiger wins.

The outcome of a fight between lion and tiger would depend heavily on the individuals–their age, breed, mood, fighting style, and physiology. However, historical evidence suggests that tigers are a bit more likely to win the duel.
Although both lions and tigers have approximately 30 teeth, tigers have longer and sharper pairs of fangs that can inflict a deeper wound on their opponents. Fangs of the tiger are approximately 4 inches, while lion teeth are approximately three inches in size. Thus, the bite force of a tiger is greater than that of a lion.
