My favourite room was Kerala room, spent a lot of time there as it is the most peaceful room on Zozo. Was chatting in Kerala room , couple of weeks ago and someone called me Bengali, experienced this earlier also, so this is how the convo went on wall (no names) -

Me - Why do Mallu people call non Mallus as Bengali always ?
Y - Coz Mallus think that northies are Illiterate and they feel they are superior to them.
Me - How can you call someone Illiterate, there are so many intelligent people here, how can you judge them and make them feel inferior ?
X - Coz that's the truth.
Y - We know every Northie isn't Bengali but that's the truth, people in Kerala feel like that for Northies and even you Northies say bad things about us.
Me - I didn't say anything bad to anyone and still !
Experienced this many times (a person used to always call me like that, now I understood the meaning), yesterday also, I never thought the meaning of Bengali for them could be this, so I checked about this with others and one of my Mallu friend explained this -
" Many people from North come to Kerala (majority - people from Bengal) to work as labourers and they are illiterate, so Mallu people used to call them as Bengali, but later on that stuck into people's mind, some people (not everyone) feel North Indians are illiterate and that's why Mallus feel superior "
Every single person who is using zozo is Literate ! Few weird people show hatred towards us when we enter the room by calling us Bengali. (I don't care about what they say but just wanted to share this issue) Not only in Kerala room, few Southie people don't like Northies. (Saying Northie, Southie just to explain the issue)
And Not only this, even few Hindi room users treat other room users badly by calling them dark, this that, etc.
Why are we doing North, South, inferior, superior stuff here on Zozo, on a virtual site ?
People posting, talking about stuff that's actually body shaming, racist.
Then there are people who talk super casually about rape (Oh come rape me, oh she's raping you, etc) on wall. Some badge holders, both girls and guys crack jokes on RAPE !! That's so disgusting. Do these guys even understand anything about it, that word is even censored on site. (Some people may think I am narrow minded, " come on it's just a joke ", but I personally feel it is DISGUSTING.)
Guys this place is for chatting, having fun, sexting. And some people are busy with racism, body shaming, inferior superior competition, etc.
Some people will comment on this post it's not right bla bla but will do the same thing on site. Let's stop all this !
